Corporate Functions, also known as Corporate Services, or Business Functions — functions such as HR, Legal, Finance, Communications, IT, Procurement, Facilities Management, etc. — are essential to almost every organization and they represent the ‘backbone’ and foundation of any company. Every Function’s first priority is to support the company and its various business units in their efforts to carry out the strategic mission.

Today, expectations are being raised to have these support functions play a more strategic business partnering role and deliver more value to the organization at large. With less stable environments and more intense competition in many markets, there is a premium on agility and flexibility, and increasing emphasis on business performance results.
